I didn't read all the posts so maybe someone already said this.

You can do this on any truck or car. When you have the defrosters on put both sun visors down. It keeps the heat in longer. I was told this and IT WORKS!!!

    vikingswen Thanks this.

I always have my down, since I didn't put a drop visor on this one.

Vikingswen.....another good point. With all the underhood heat of these new engines, why Daimler uses regular black rubber rad hoses is beyond me.
I've already had to replace all the hoses on our Coronado as they all got hard as rock and failed.
At least my Paystar came with all blue silicone hoses.

I do the same thing. I have considered buying a cheap blow dryer and running it of the inverter while going down the road. The next time I see a Harbor Freight Tools place I might get one of their 12V heater vans to plug into the cigarette lighter. Some of the older Western Stars used to have a fan on the dash and I wonder if that would help?

You must have big fingers......I think you want a fan....not a van, LOL.

Although that's what I love about my Star...the cab is big enough to put a van in it, LOL.

Yep, I fat fingered that one. You would think a guy that uses the hunt peck method could at least hit the right key.

Just got done running the new blue silicon hose from the EGR cooler to the expansion tank. They sure were proud of that hose at $6.41 a foot. Like always most things don't come cheap in Alaska.

Hey Vikingswen.....have you ever saw that Nat Geo Channel show Big Fix Alaska....about that Jim Evridge (Jims Equipment Repair)?

I see the bills they charge for going out fixing stuff.....wow! Glad I don't have to pay that. But I imagine all your expenses are high there, being so remote?
