Good to -40 but it has to be 0 before you even think about putting them on lol.
Traditional cowboy boots have leather soles, a few have rubber inserts in them as well as the leather soles are extremely slick until they get roughed up. I've never seen any with steel toes and leather soles tho.

I wear Oliver 25-299 smelter boot with dr scholls inserts. Best pair of boots I've ever worn.

Yea but not with leather soles
I have steel toe cowboy boots. -
I've been wearing Irish Setters, slip ons. Have been comfortable and durable. But they are owned by Red Wing so no surprises there.

4 years in the navy with I'll fitting boots, 1 year in corrections wearing left over navy boots. Then we had the money so I went into Redwing and my life changed forever. Not just Redwing though. That's just where I went. Just go to a professional to be fitted. You wouldn't let a cab driver back your truck right?

Who in their right mind would buy steel toe boots working on flatbeds?
Working on the deck of a truck or trailer in -10 weather, I hated steel toe boots, my feet got so cold that they would not warm up for hours. I went to composite toe boots and only that. dropped a bunch of stuff on feet like a binder or chain and not worried.minirack Thanks this. -
To each their own.

When I did concrete driving I loved my Carhartt boots. They are waterproof etc.

I worked construction for almost 10 years, the twisted x slip on's are my favorite steel toes I've had, been thru quite a few different brands. Ariats were good too but the sole broke down after a couple years and I started having knee pain. Any brand can be water proof if you Keep them oiled with mink oil and they make spray as well to Go sound the stitching on the soles. Have insulated steel toe muck boots for winter time, at -25 would have sweaty feet. Learned real quick not to buy cheap boots if you use them all the time tho and with slip on's I always try and avoid anything with a liner inside them, usually ends up coming loose at the bottom and traps your foot like a Chinese finger trap.
Chewy352 Thanks this.
