But based on your own posts, if they wanted it, they could demand it. And if you didn't, fire you for not complying with company safety standards.

I only speak of current rules, not what MIGHT happen the future. Current rules specify what I provided, nothing more.

So is it in writing that YOU are allowed to obtain the records they require? And that YOU are allowed to redact information YOU deem not pertinent? Actual question, ive never worked for such a company.

I did read your earlier post. I would not have even given them that. When, where, how or why I make or take a phone call, text and such on my personal phone isn't any of their business. I don't have any right to demand to see the personal phone records of any of them, and just because I am an employee of the company, and just happen to be a driver, doesn't give them exclusive privileges to see mine.

If a court requested it from me in relation to a case, I would provide the information for the exact time frame and date.

The company can take a big flying leap.

Yes. And yes. I was offered the opportunity to use a company computer in the office to use the Internet to access my records. I politely said no thanks, I'll use my own computer at home, where I am sure keystrokes, websites, etc are not being recorded. They said fine, that's my choice. Would you like me to also explain how I was paid for my time at home to obtain the records? Yes, that's in the written policy too.

Yeah, unfortunately these companies do think we are stupid, and not just Walmart either. Almost every company has at least one really stupid over-reaching policy.

Ok so you signed a paper, stating that the company, at their discretion, could demand records of your personal cell phone, and you are ok with it? I get that you feel the controll you say is written in (i will take your word for it) protects you from abuse, but Jesus tap dancing christ man, its your phone! Whatever, i guess we see it differently....

Not at their discretion. Only when certain circumstances occur, that they have no control over. They selection is done randomly, similar to be chosen for a random drug test. Third party does the selection.

A company can request a drug screen at their discretion. (At least thats how i read it) but either way... i still dont get it.

Yes, I guess they can request a drug screen if they have suspicion. The cell phone policy does not allow that. It is by random , third party selection only.
