Major forest fire in Fort Mac

More than likely. I went through there at around 2 am.

 

Things are different now. Never realized how big this mill at the bottom of Super Test was until they bulldozed all the trees around it.
Fire didn't seem to go much further North on this side of 63. On the West side looks like it burnt right up Super Test and all along Aostra Rd.

 

Well today's travels took me up to Fort Hills and then out to Kearl. Fire never made it out that far but as a precaution all the camps and structures out that way had firegaurds bulldozed around them. Still haven't made it into the bad areas of town yet but I may have a couple calls out that way over the next couple of days.

 

Well after 3 nights in camp I've had enough. Checked out permanently and went home for good. Took a drive around town and out past the airport. Really wasn't a good idea. I will never be able to forget what I saw. Used to be a nice subdivision with lots of trees. Fire went straight through the middle of it.

 

FML! Right across the street from me. Happening right now. ####!!!!

 

Around the back. Can feel heat all the way over here.
