What would a O/O need to be paid per mile to break even up there. Seems like it would be awful hard on a truck.

Yes, Carlisle is team driving. I believe they have three team trucks that do a weekly run out of Tacoma.

I will second the idea that Teams will have a difficult time on some of those gravel roads and places where there is NO road. Bounce bounce bounce.
Ive heard stories about a stick of butter being 25 dollars, one of the price of living up there. Among other things. We had a house up there in Fairbanks until we sold it after 9 months. Oil alone was averaging 1200 monthly.
We sold the home in good order thankfully. It is my understanding that most people go broke trying to buy oil to heat the place then Nature ravaged the house on sale causing more damage than it's worth to repair, essentially worthless now and no one will buy.
