Air Dry cut out so fast

    Why does my air dry cut off every 20 seconds on a 1998 freightliner century class with an cat engine?

    Its constantly recycling. Needs a rebuild. Just O rings,ect. You can by pass it till you get it fixed.

    1st part to ck. is the air regulator bolted to air compressor, ck. for leaks then replace the air reg. its only a few bucks at parts store.

    Ok thanks I'm going to check the regulator bolt when I get into a gas station thanks I'll keep yall updated

    so it wasn't the air reg. bolt I didn't hear any leakage and my psi is around 125 psi (normal range) but govener still cut out every 30-60 sec wonder what could that be

    Your air pressure reg. is bad you must have a allen wench or socket set to replace it, the replacement air reg. will have some plugs inside the hardware kit that comes with the new reg. just put the plugs in the same holes that old one had plug, the air pressure reg. is a part that you should keep a extra one in your tool box next to the spare fuel filters you must carry for emer.
