86 in New York State has been a pet project for quite some time. It's being slowly brought up to Interstate Hwy standards from state route 17, which has some sections that already are and some that aren't.Big_D409 Thanks this.

Certainly beats the days of when it was 2 lane the entire way across.bzinger Thanks this.

I say Connecticut. It isn't that there's so much construction, but the way they set up their construction zones is completely idiotic, from improper signage to stupidly narrow lanes. Then add in idiot NE traffic and they are just disaster zones. So glad I don't do NE anymore.

Ohio is the easy winner here, it has been that way since the beginning of time

Gee, I can't believe nobody mentioned I78 from Harrisburg to Allentown! That road has been under some form of construction ever since I've known anything. And with all that work, it's still terrible
-
Lol I81 from Harrisburg to Scranton has been that way for a long time too.

I forgot about I-86. The last time I was on it, there was one stretch where I didn't see a car or truck in either direction for a good 15 miles. During daylight too. With that, and the roadway being so bad, I started panicking that I missed a bunch of road closure signs or something. I guess the locals know to avoid it.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
