Because you didn't. The time to tell them you were going on home time was before you accepted the loads ... not when you were half way through them.

CRE has thier issues and a bad reputation ... but that doesn't excuse you for doing some wrong.

The time to handle the back haul issue was immediately after it was assigned.

Why did you accept and deliver the front haul if you weren't going to be able to do the back haul?

    update:
they said it wasnt a big deal and i have nothing to worry about. . .
well this post is evidence enough that i was stressed about it and i still like my position here at england so, thanks to everyone who responded, it'll definately keep me aware of other options when faced with a questionable dilemma heh

Glad it worked out for you. If that situation comes up again, you should probably tell them when you first get the pre-assignment.

When I was on a Walmart ded at CRE, the front haul and back haul was a package deal. If for some reason a driver couldn't do the back haul, they would take them off the front haul as well and give it to someone who could do both.

It would take a lot of stress off of you to get it resolved on the front end.

I used cre to get started out as well. Did otr and was lucky to find a team driver that I got along with well. Cannot complain because cre was fair, I did my six month requirement driving for them and then was able to get an easier job paying around a thousand each week.

Once you are satisfied with your driving experience and ability keep an eye out for a chance to move up.

Maybe I missed the memo...did CRE dump its lease program? I've noticed some of their trailers sporting decals that now say "Train Drive Team", with "Lease" conspicuously absent. Also seems that trucks that would have the appearance of leased units sporting much more "company-like" identification numbers.

Didn't CRE just settle a large law suit over their lease program?
