I passed a Marmon large car last week on my way back east, think it was in Il/In?

I just remembered, Sapp Bros in SLC had some type of a contest back in 96 or 97, where their prize was a brand new Marion. Had a chance to look it over. Sure looked to me like it would be one nice ride! Too bad they aren't around anymore.
And FWIW, I just don't see ugly in those.Blackshack46 and rank Thank this. -
Here are a few trucks most guys have never seen. All Canadian designed and built. As you can see they were built to last, not particularly for comfort.
Hayes. Built in BC, Canada.
Pacific. Built in BC as well.
Scot. Built in Nova Scotia. Don't know much about them. The were only in business from '72 to '80. Apparently they were financially backed by Irvings. Less than 1200 were built.
I have yet to encounter a Marmon in my travels. They seem like a pretty sweet, unique ride.Last edited: Jun 9, 2016
rabbiporkchop, rank, BoxCarKidd and 2 others Thank this. -
@NorthernMechanic Thanks for those pix. Looks like they could do a bit of work, now and then!

Theres a few left, I bought a 96 not to long ago much like the "last marmon" I got pics on my profile, this one rides better than most trucks today, its a quality truck.

I had a 57P. Loved that truck and wish I never sold it but at the time I was purchasing a home and used the money for a down payment. Came close to buying one setup the way I wanted last year for a hobby truck but with the downturn in the economy i couldn't justify it. #### nice trucks though
rank Thanks this. -
Where do you find parts for those at. I know where there is a running 66 cabover with a brand new BC 400. It's in great shape and I know the guy would sell it
-
There's still at least one here today!

The only Marmon parts are the cab and hood . All you have to do is figure out who they got the parts From. The radiator and cac and the condiser are all off a Volvo WIA . My wiper motor was also from a Volvo . My outside door handles came off of a 359 Pete . This all for my 97 model . The old Chicago Marmon is a big help too . I call them when I have any questions .rank, Oxbow and slickWillie1980 Thank this.
