Lol well shoot guess it's time to start loading the supplies up.

OP the other thing I forgot to mention is after buffing if you keep up on your polishing you shouldn't need to buff them again for a long time. I buff my truck once a year after that it just gets hit with pro40 from time to time.

    ^^ Best advice yet exhd 379 ^^
But I'll play. I'm 65 and my back just can't take the contorted positions holding the grinder/aka/polisher. When I did a "deep cleaning" I'd use brightener to get the aluminum back to "raw" so you're not polishing polish. Then you're starting from scratch. I used a green rouge bar with a white airway wheel then finish with a white sewn cotton wheel and white rouge. Then maybe a touch up with a white hand applied polish., Z 40 would actually dull/scratch the white rouge finish.

Your stuff looks pretty good for hand done. As for hand polish Z 40 is about the best I've ever used.

You're from Md., a buddy had his wheels taken off somewhere around the Greencastle, Pa. area and the result less than stellar. They were to aggressive and took the sharp edge off the round holes. On the other hand, some buddies had their wheels done in Ripon, Ca. and they turned out better then new.

Kudos for taking pride in your ride.

Do you travel I95 in S.C.? There's a polish shop at exit 52 across from the Petro, don't much about the quality of their work now. A buddy had his stuff done awhile back and I must say he was standin" tall.

If you want aluminum to really shine DON'T go in circles. Go back and forth in straight lines. Your really putting in fine scratches and the light hits them and makes shine.

Thanks for the info. No I just run up to PA every night. Most of the oxidation is right around the holes to be truthful with ya. We got a big truck show coming up in Sept I may have them cut then. It's just my steers that need cutting cuz we're having the tanks painted. And yeah everything has been hand polished by me except the drives cuz he bought Durabrites

I have gotten lazy in my old age. Chrome is now stainless steel. Wheels are Durabrites. Tanks are painted.
