Heard a ton of talk about going with Jim Palmer Trucking, was all set to get the ball rolling and then someone suggested PRIME....I have ZERO Intention of doing Rent-a-truck or O/O just want a decent company I can run my wheels off, take EVERY LOAD I can get and get home to the Family. Not sure who to go with. The both basically offer the SAME to newbie drivers. Any suggestions ONE OVER THE OTHER????? NO I DO NOT HAVE a CDL so need a DECENT Company that I can School with and hang out with for a year or so. Thanks In advance

You don't have to lease with either, they just try to sell you on it. If you're running solo I think Prime offers extra pay to run a lightweight tractor with no pass seat.

They don't require anyone to take out the passenger seat lol ,, they allow you to have it removed if you want and alot of drivers do because it gives them somewhere to put a fridge.
Jim palmer will be pulling all prime freight on prime trailers ,
Personally I would cut out the middle man and go straight to prime I don't see the benefit of working for a smaller company within a larger company but that's just me

I'd go with Palmer because you can drive a full size truck and have refrigerator and passenger seat both; not one or the other.
You've no doubt checked the photos in the Palmer website. Plenty of room inside for an OTR driver to be comfortable, kick back and watch tv during breaks, no tripping over suitcases, etc just to get to the sleeper. @firemedic2816

Companies do that; evaluate you then fast track you through school so you can hit the road.

That's a good point but you can also drive a full size as a company driver for prime you do lose 5 cents per mile if you go that route and sometimes it takes some complaining to get the full size truck but everyone I know that wanted one got one .
I will say if you live in the west to north west it seems like palmer drivers get first dibs at the freight in that area , I'd say 90% of the prime trailers I see roll through colorado springs are behind Jim palmer trucks
