I had a friend at who took his truck (he owned it) to landstar and ended up coming back to Roehl. SNI prolly a good choice. Did u buy your truck outright or giving it back?

I offered to buy mine back in March when I was pretty sure leaving was in the cards, but they wanted too much for it. I went out and bought my own from a local dealer. I think LS and SNI are pretty similar, but with SNI I won't have to deal with the agents, and the weekly fees are a lot less. They're also strong in the Midwest, which is where I like to run.

Wish you luck on Choice. How did you get into SNI Choice with the Choice program closed?? Left Roehl for Choice in 2014. Just left Choice 2 months ago due to low freight and rates. Went back to a sliding scale here at FCC (Fremont Contract Carriers).

They opened up a few slots and offered me one. I know I can do better rate wise then I was doing with Roehl. We'll see how it goes.

It has been a year since anybody posted on this thread and I'm wondering how everybody is doing!

I am still doing new truck "haul away!"

We just got a huge contract to move firetrucks and I am loving every minute of that!

    KF7WTV Thanks this.

Turned truck back into Schneider Finance a year ago to take job off road. Home every day and not driving at all. I am "semi" retired and don't ever plan on returning to road. My age is catching up to me. Been an interesting ride and there will be parts I miss but all things must come to an end.

    KF7WTV and Scott72 Thank this.

I have been running intermodal to Oakland with Nevcal for 2.5 yrs, now. 5 days/wk, choice to be home nightly, decently steady paycheck. I will keep running this until I can take off with my handyman business. The daily Cali traffic is taking a toll on my mental health & the driver seat is taking a toll on my body. Actually just suffered a nice 30 second lower back cramp when I typed that... argghh...
Anyway, life always does move on.
