Is this another thread from a driver who worked for a mega that never pushed their drivers, doesn't know what real OTR is, goes to an OTR company, then is surprised how much different it is?
When they said home time typically requires being out more than 3 weeks that should have been a clue.lostheart and sgt slaughter Thank this. -

As has been stated numerous times on this site, you should quit only when on home time, AFTER payday, and without notice.

34 hour reset, what's that? I prefer to not do any resets unless there just is no other option. Running on Recaps is the way it is suppose to be. I can go 6-8 wks without ever taking one. But that was when I stayed out 90 days at a time, took 3-6 days off and went back out again. If one knows how to run their ELD, one doesn't need to sit around, playing with themselves for 34 hours. Besides, doing a Reset generally flips your schedule around and I for one am more tired after taking one. Save the sitting around to Home time. Stay out 3-4 weeks, run hard and enjoy a few days off with some money to play with.
I failed to see a problem here.BubbaTrucker, SouthCarolina, lostheart and 5 others Thank this. -
How do you get burned out by not being able to do a restart? You are going to have some short days when you run on recaps. Having to take a recap away from home every week is how most people would get burned out.
SCar72 Thanks this.
