So don't confiscate it then. Impound the truck, so they have to go get the thing back. But I do not believe they should be able to just take the truck.

I didn't say I agreed with it. I only referenced why they might be doing it.
Consider stubborn truckers. They only want to take the shorter route. They have just got fed up. Now what are they going to do with the trucks? -
Don't know. I was just throwing an idea out there like you were. I agree there are plenty of stubborn drivers. Just like in any other profession. There are signs all over NY too. Trucks can drive on expressways, but are not allowed on parkways.
-
Yes, I know. But, I still wonder what they think they are going to do with the trucks. There is very little resale value on them now. Makes me wonder about the intelligence in the law department.
-
Who knows, they haven't shown the wisest decisions recently anyway. Knee-jerk decisions to try and appease the people, to make it looks like they are doing something.
-
Just like any ( not sure if spelling correctly ) scofflaw........when a jurisdiction invokes scofflaw........they obtain title from and re-sell.
Re-sale value does not matter.....their is always someone willing to buy any vehicle.......car truck etc.
A whole bunch of other issues to go into with this one though......too much to list..............
-
If they go as far as selling vehicle at auction.............MORE money......
-
WOW ther is something seriously wrong with that picture!! What in the HE!! do those people think about??? Maybee they should confiscate there desks and chairs for a day, then where would they be?? Maybee they would have to do some real work for once, something constructive perhaps, but I highly doubt they would even know what to do with themselves!!???!!!!

American only truck crazy girl, cause nothing else will do!!!!

I think fines are good enough. It can cost thousands of dollars being overweight on 5 ton restricted roads. etc.
