Injectors cleaning?

I use it and believe it works. Head mechanic at my local Peterbilt dealer agrees with me. If you travel I76 through Akron, Oh. Summit Racing on the east side of Akron has it for way less than the truckstops.

 

Lucas in no way compares to the injector cleaner concentrate. Not even close.
You can buy the concentrate and do it yourself, save some money in the process.
The Amsoil diesel injector cleaner is another option. It works amazing from my experience but that was at double dosage to ensure cleaning. Mileage went up and the engine was noticeably another afterward.
Do the foam cup test. Pour you cleaner into it and see how quick it melts through......the stronger the cleaner the quicker it melts. Lucas hardly dissolves anything btw.

 

Now they will blame the clients not cleaning injectors in time for their faulty injector cups design. In every Volvo shop i've been over past 8 years , (from California to Texas to Canada ) i've seen trucks with D13, top open and technicians fixing this stupid designed injectors. I did it 4 times also.

 

Well same problem here D13 the only down side is injectors don't replace all do one a time don't let them scare u if u have stainless steel caps just replace the one and clean the rest change all the O rings and drive it good luck

 

Recently I bought vnl 780 D13 455hp and it has 45000 mi on it ,
So I have to to do it on 150.000 mi ? What's the best way to do it and which one works better ?
