I think it was childish and retarded for somebody to report you but man wtf are you doing climbing all over ####? I mean what are you 12 years old?
How serious is this?

Spiking the cat like a football is what got him!?!
-
My question is how in hell does a cat get up there? I know that they like vertical spaces but that's crazy.
As far as the dirtbag tattle tale reporting you... he did some damage to you as you found out.
If Walmart got their knickers in a twist over this little issue, I would not work for them at all. I cannot stand people or companies that get nasty over minor stuff that is actually something I would have done myself. Im up there to get that cat too.
Hell Ive taken naps up there up top of my flatbed loads inside the company yard safe from the snobs who will sneak around looking for drivers sleeping on the job around the place, they never looked up high enough to find me.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
I doubt Walmart denied you because of that. You probably don't have enough expierence or they found out your name was Salad. Walmart is super picky. Don't worry about it and stay the heck off the tops of trailers. Unless of course your putting antifreeze in your thermo King.
Roll tide!! -
You were just doing your job
... You can't just have stuff flying off the top of your trailer onto the public highways can you?
.... I would talk to that safety guy about this issue, you were doing the right thing and following the law,.... You could sue these people if they don't want to come clean on this issue
.... What were you supposed to do call a service truck?
.... You sure couldn't drive around and cause an accident tell them you were following the law! And see if they still want to push it -
In my line of work, you get fired the first day if you DON'T climb on your trailer. No one is gonna open and close those hatches for you.
What sucks about this whole thing is that this is what trucking is becoming. Someone can't even get hired because he got a cat off of a trailer. Really?
Does anyone remember when truckers were tough, and took care of their own problems without causing a fuss? Who wants to have to report to a safety department, probably fill out 10 pages of safety BS, and waste half a day because a cat is on his trailer? This is easily solved in a couple of minutes by the driver, and he can get on down the road.
And any company that won't hire you because of this is probably not worth working for anyway. I've read about Walmart and their little petty rules for drivers. No way I'd work there. -
I don't think that it was on top of his trailer.
-
At the very least, help him get back down.
For someone to snitch on someone helping somebody else is simply pathetic. -
And none of his business too.....
Lot of dumb mooks about there -
If you can climb on top of a van its time to come over to the open deck side of trucking. Were on our trailers all the time. Being up that high would be considered bragging rights. However you might have to use fall protection. That's when you fall off your load onto a fat van driver.
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
