I was looking on the site he linked, but couldn't find anything. Was hoping to see if I could look myself up and see if there are any reviews on me, good or bad.

The email i got said i would only be able to respond in the next 72 hours. After that no changes could be made. So im thinking after the 72 hours only brokers that have an account are able to see it but not the carriers. Because i also no longer have access

That site is just so strange, what is about, where was review left, no clue. You have 72 hours to respond. How do you get notified that you got a bad review? Site staff will look up your MC number and call the phone number listed on FMCSA? So so weird

How did they get your email? Can u answer where was review left ?

The broker

This is a tough subject. I just got a buddy hooked up with an outfit I knew about that has a good reputation in the food grade tanker business. He parked his reefer due to rates and consistency being in the toilet, and got excited to hook to this stainless steel, smooth bore tanker and work "as much as he wanted", according to the guy that owns the company.
Second day on the scene...he loads in Reading, Pa. and goes to Dunkirk, NY and sits there 17 HOURS. They wouldn't even let him use the rest room. Called the owner of the company and asked for "some sort of detention time pay"...not expecting an hourly rate, but "something" to take the sting out of this deal. No can do. It's a BROKERED load, and the broker wouldn't have anything to do with this. Neither would the owner of the company/tanker evidently.
I guess I'm just plain out of my mind. If I were the one in charge, the truck owner would have gotten his $150.00 immediately to not only take the tension out of the deal, but to retain him as well. That's a cheap date to me.
Any other business other than trucking, can charge for detention, delay, extra time, etc. You bring your car to the repair shop after getting a quote of $200.00 for the job. It takes an extra 2 hours..they whack you another $200.00. You pay the bill and move on. Contractor comes to your house to fix your roof, etc...extra materials, little more time....what are you going to do, tell him you CAN'T pay the extra costs? He'll have your sorry arse in small claims court so fast it'll make your head spin. Not in trucking, ohhhhhh noooooo. We sign rate confirmations basically negating our rights to anything to our advantage. What the heck has happened to this business anyways?
You own a truck; payments, insurance, authority, tires, brakes, grease, oil, maintenance, registration, taxes, on and on and on and on....and you can't charge a fair and equitable amount for added time not the fault of the service provider. This is a sad industry we work in.
He was thinking all he wanted was a lousy $150.00 for the 17 hours, as a "thank you" for the situation. That would have bought a motel room, some food, etc. What a lousy, rotten shame. Now he's mad, and leaving on the second day of it. Broker don't care.
That's my pet peave for today folks.flatbeb mac and naserrano22 Thank this. -
Right. It doesnt make sence but just hang in there man. And when brokers need your truck try to get as much as you can. Thats what i do. I follow the usda truck rate report. And give them a high qoute. Since i know they need my truckW900AOwner Thanks this.
