Exam went well. A1C is 5.7, almost prediabetic levels. Left the doctor's office feeling pretty good. Had lunch and put gas in my friend's car.
Then I talked to Celadon about a mysterious deduction on last week's pay. Turns out they claim I owe them $1400 for fuel from when I leased from them in 2014. And they know I'm leaving.
Anybody got a couple hundred dollars I can borrow? I've already quit and now I don't have the money to make it to Mississippi (a friend is renting me a car but now I'm so destitute I can't gas it up or eat on the way). I'm fighting them but it won't help this weekend.
This is unreal. It took six months with Celadon for me to become a complete vagabond. I was naive. And I'm glad I left.
I will rebuild.
I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

If that's true why weren't they making deductions out of Ur recent checks?
No end with those jack..es -
I'll find out tomorrow if they burned me. No idea what I'm going to do if they do it; I'll fight it but I need money this weekend.
We'll figure something out; I'm not alone. -
For future reference, take your home time and request a leave of absence for a family emergency.Clean out truck. Quit once you get all your pay.
scottied67 Thanks this. -
Yeah, it's always a good idea to never quit until you have all your money.

Noted. Learned. Didn't used to be that way. Now it is.

Looking like we got it worked out; will know for sure in the morning. Will keep you posted.
Gonna go to Big M rather than Holland. Pay is the same, but sign on bonus and bigger pay for orientation. And I'd rather pull dry freight than reefer. I'm pretty sure. For the same money. -
