I believe i made a mistake

Still have not received my final paycheck, so after speaking with my lawyer regardless of what ohio law states, because all mt previous checks were delivered on a weekly basis, i have legal grounds the very next day after my check did not arrive. My options are to involve my state commerce dept, or a lawyer, im going to take the commerce dept option first.
At this point, he is not accepting my calls at all, he doesn't answer my texts, she answered one 4 days ago and nothing since. His website is no longer active, and emails to him are getting returned. So I'm at a loss. I didn't want to resort to legal means but i guess i have no choice.

 

i appreciate the notice, but I'm doing goods here with builders, get home when i need to, make a good paycheck, should've never left to go work for this guy

I sent him a text today updating him where i am with my options, he finally got back to me at about 6pm. Told me his attorney is preparing my final settlement that will be emailed to me for my signature. I told him if he wanted a signature he had better be including the rate cons for each load with the rates unblocked so i can verify the amounts in getting are correct, and to not play any games with me as I'm owed for 7 loads that i dropped from may 9th to may 16th and that i had copies of the bills including the emails showing dates and time stamps. I also told him that i never signed any agreement staying that he can take money from my pay for truck recovery fees and that in doing so is illegal. He didn't say anything about those, but did say once everything is settled and i sign off on it, i will be given a western union or money gram code that i can use to recover the money
