    After 6 safe, and accident free months, I decided to go home and get a local job. I am applying all over from cement mixer driver, to dump truck driver, to waste disposal truck driver.

    Go dump truck if at all possible. Mixer isn't worth the headache, and trash guys have a tendency to get sick a lot.

    Try and get a night job hauling gravel and sand to the cement plants. Avoid the BS of daytime construction sites and traffic hassles of daytime running. I guess a lot depends on where you live and what options are available

    I did them too. always response we filled position. I think those jobs are reserved for family or friends. not to disrespect job .but we talking trash, and still hard to get in.
