Keep your letter. Let people make copies of it but never lose it. I needed mine for all 10 years I drove. Alabama had my name, no middle name no social, birthdate one day later, same year with a do not licence flag! That was residual from a stolen purse and ID fraud. Keep everything. You never know.
Declined for failed background (that should be clean)

I had a background check once. It came back saying I didn't list that I did time in Alabama. I was like WHAT? Did time? What does that mean? We don't know. It just says you didn't list it on your application. It magically disappeared with no reason why

Sorry to hear that but unfortunately it does happen. When I applied for my TWIC card my background check showed that I was deceased. Same thing happened when I reenlisted in the Army, even though I was physically there in person. And those are background checks run by the US Government. I can only imagine how messed up private companies can be.
White_Knuckle_Newbie and Waggledaddy Thank this. -
So, what did you spend your SGLI on? How did you fake it so effectively???
-
Haha. If I knew that I was dead I certainly would have collected and sure as hell wouldn't be driving truck!!!White_Knuckle_Newbie, Waggledaddy and dngrous_dime Thank this.

No they don't, this is not preventing you from being employed else where and they don't have to justify turning someone down other than open discrimination.
Nothing they did was illegal, there isn't even a case for libel. -
True. As of right now. If I don't get the required paperwork that would be illegal. Actually I had asked for a copy of the background check and they are legally obligated to give it to me. There isn't a specification on how. But they never responded to my request. It's touchy though. A response, especially via email in writing, with the wrong wording could be trouble for them. That may be why they chose to ignore me instead. They don't know this but I'm not interested in suing anyway. I just wanted a fair shot. Which I feel like I didn't get. Btw this is at no fault of their own but at fault of the background company. I would contact them but I don't know who they are yet lol. This sucked big time. But it all worked out in the end. Hopefully for the best. We'll just have to give that time to find out.clausland Thanks this.
