Can't help you with Detroit pay, but a friend of mine works for Kenan in Mobile,AL and makes at least a grand a week. Seems like the pay would be even better in Michigan. Check with Trimac Transportation; probably make more than hauling fuel; still hauling hazmat chemicals.

KAG is a mega carrier, they are everywhere. Down here they are union and pay on the lower end of the spectrum. But pay depends entirely on location. It's not a bad place to start, you will get good training, and you can always move on if you find something better.
Canned Spam and Cali kid Thank this. -

They aren't union around the STL area, but I agree with everything this guy said. They're kind of the Wal Mart of fuel hauling and you make your own decision whether that's good or bad. When I talked to a recruiter a year ago, he acted like $800 before deductions was awesome pay for a 60 hour work week. They were offering a nice sign on bonus thoughaab2032 Thanks this. -

Drove for klemm which is indiana, pay is good for some but mediocre for most, you will have a split weekend alternating with a sat, sun, management was poor, most loads you will be over gross, unless you stand your ground and load it light, gas stations are sometimes being backing in or out at heavy traffic
