No its not, traffic is always fast and heavy through there. Im always in that center lane when I go around that curve because Ive seen many drivers pulled off in it over the years.

It's common now for truck drivers that have killed someone through negligence to be arrested. The authorities and the public take it a lot more seriously than they used to.
He made two mistakes that got someone killed. He pulled over just to make a phone call and he failed to get anywhere near the speed of traffic before merging into traffic.Getsinyourblood, justa_driver and Rocknroller4 Thank this. -
Don't know what his reason for pulling off on the shoulder was, but outside of a genuine emergency, that particular stretch of road with a very narrow shoulder, heavy traffic and curve is like asking for a disaster to happen. Which unfortunately did.
