Because what Prime has isn't a traditional lease..you know how many guys Prime would lose if you could just get a truck zero down then run under your authority smh anyway I have a buddy there still and he's been there for a decade and he said you can't get your authority until the truck is either paid off or financed from a outside source other then Prime

Well your "friend" needs to read the contract and then he might know how it can be done.

I think it comes down to the legal issues of being an "independent contractor" ... if they want to say your not an employee they MUST allow you to take the truck and run it under your own authority.
