I know this is an old post, but here's a new reply. My dad just recently got a new mattress for his truck, he got it from an online company Bedinabox. It is made of memory foam, and they made it custom for his truck. He said he has been getting the best sleep of his life on the road. He also bought one for the house too, so he can sleep well at home and not want to sleep out in his truck.

I actually bought a twin size Simmons Beautyrest for the sleeper. It's a pillow top and fits perfectly in the bunk...no modifications needed! I sleep like a baby and have had it in there for over a year.

I was trying to find one for myself too, and found this bed guide (www.bestbedguide.com) online. I went there to compare the different types of mattresses, and also to find where to buy one.

Its noisy springs and plain uncomfortable and it has to go! I need GOOD :biggrin_25518:
Should i replace it with an air mattress or one off those nice big thick pillow tops.
What mattresses do you prefer and where to buy a good one?

Mines just the stock mattress with that foam eggcrate thing on top. I sleep better in the truck than I do at home with the pillowtop mattress

My husband's is horrible. I need to buy him either a new mattress or one of those foam toppers. It is passable for him because he has his worn-out hollow, but horrible when I try to sleep with him.

I got a memory foam mattress and its the best investment I have made for my comfort while on the road, its more expensive but worth EVERY penny.

You could get one of those "pillow-tops" or a good "memory-foam" mattress cover. I wouldn't use an air-mattress. The vibrations might wear holes in it and cause it to deflate.

WalMart has both the pillow-top and the memory foam, in twin, super-twin, double, king and queen size.
