You should do non guilty and go to court.They will Definetly dismiss your charge without any fine

 

I don't know about your state, but when I had an sr-22 my insurance didn't go up on commercial, but did go up on my personal vehicles. Also a $1000-$1500 is typical for just a retainer. I'm fighting a trafic case and the retainer is $1500 alone.

 

Make sure to ask that if you go to court to be sure it isn't for 10 over. I would allow others to plea to 5 and under any day they wanted to before court to help them out. However if it went to court it went right back to the original speeding charge.

 

First thing I would like to say is something my father told me once when I got my first speeding ticket, "Stupid, Stupid, Stupid". I hope that helps, it didn't help me.

Your local phone book will have lots of traffic attorney's. They usually charge $150 and will get it reduced to a non moving ticket. The fine will be more but not a reportable violation.

You do have to report the ticket to your employer. I think you have 30 days but I am not sure of that.

Good luck and remember to be a good citizen you need to obey all the laws of this Great Nation and not just those you think you are going to get caught breaking. Says the convicted felon.

 

Call the district attorney where the ticket was issued ask if you can pay the full amount and if they will reduce it, unless you have multiple infractions in the same area the will be happy to do that.

 

I got cracked going down the grapevine hill in the people's republic of California in the truck they were doing a sting 15 plus cops...my officer said a mile down is a billboard call that lawyer and this ticket will go away... Called lawyer 480.00 for my new parking ticket and 500.00 for lawyer....lawyer says they write over 1500 tickets a month just on that hill. Always lawyer up. I must say that CHP cop was the nicest officer I have met. Also, no inspection so no record.
