I seem to recall a couple of the rest areas on 94 between Billings and Miles City had signs warning of rattlesnakes.

Few years back, when my boss had me play contract driver and take a truck from Colo. Springs to Homestead AFB, the hotel I stayed in Miami, across from the airport, was backed by a canal, they had large signs warning of poisonous and gators. Between the canal and the hotel was a 12 ft stone berm, a 3ft sidewalk, and another 10 ft stone berm, two employees would walk it every two hours with a "bang stick" to scare snakes from the rocks so they wouldn't get into the pool area.

 

That would be the Rosebud rest area with those signs.
