That's true, I was talking about l/p thru a company.

 

It's not the guy/gal that gets burned on the first one
That drives me crazy.
It's the ones that burned then go somewhere else
And get burned again and again.
There's drivers on here that have been burned 2 or 3
Times and are still looking for another lease.
It's madness!

 

That's not entirely true anymore. I am sure with some companies it is still that way. That little fed ex lawsuit is changing some things. Companies are starting to see they can no longer lease on an owner and then treat them like company drivers but with all the risk.

I am leased on right now and if I decide to take me and my truck somewhere else I can....

Not saying all companies are that way, but the industry is changing.

More and more companies are allowing drivers to pick their freight possible because of the internet.

I don't even have to deal with anyone from the company unless their is a problem with a load. Actually they don't want to hear from me either.

Just saying that part of the industry is changing.

 

The key is leasing through a 3rd party

 

As a former paralegal, I can tell you that truth is an absolute defense against a libel or slander lawsuit. If what you're saying about this Mystery Company is true, then they have no basis in which to prevail in a lawsuit against you.

To put it another way: if what you're saying is true, do you really think the Mystery Company wants all that dirty laundry aired out in the publicity that comes with filing a libel lawsuit?

So, who is it?
