We have not yet started to burn here in Arkansas. We usually get into near 100 for rest of this month towards 110 some days next 8 weeks. Humidity sometimes very high.
If you really wanted to melt, go to Maryland when it's 95 degrees and 85% humidity with 65% dewpoint before a storm. =)

Yeah, the humidity is much harder to live with. Other than when the monsoons would come in neither Imperial or Death Valley was very humid. But then when I hear some WAG say, "oh, but it's a dry heat," my reply is, "yeah. So is a blast furnace!"
Dave_in_AZ and x1Heavy Thank this. -
I grew up in Turkey. Dad retired air force. When you can play a full game of football in 130 degrees with humity pushing towards 160 then you are hot. Until then its winter all year round and just because you can't hike in 110 degree weather in az don't mean I can't.
As for not being able to idle!
Why are you working for a company who don't give a ratass about your health, or safety? -
DUDE! YOU DA MAN! Go for it. Personally, I've seen a whole bunch of idiots do the Bad Water, (Death Valley) to Mt. Whitney Portal bike ride in July. As I said, IDIOTS!Dave_in_AZ and BigBlueMarine99 Thank this.

I'm with you....
the weather is something that I miss from Brasil.... there's no snow there...
and no winter... compared to the USA...

When I first arrived in the US was in July... and I went straight to Miami, FL...
talk about heat and humidity... it was a little "oppressive"...
Dave_in_AZ, Big Don and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this. -
SC is worse than most of Florida, I have never been to Miami. Mostly around the gulf.Rocks Thanks this.

I'm taking "hometime" here in Chattanooga, TN... my vehicle A/C hasn't been working for a few years now... The repair will cost me about $700.00 or so...
I believe it is about 140F inside my car....
but since I use my vehicle for only one week... about 4 times a year, I decided not to have it fixed this time... again...
Turn my fan on and it's like hot air blowing on my face...
But that's ok.. it's the cold that kills me...
