It wouldn't have surprised me if they did have me pick up somewhere. The box planners always try sneaking some crap onto my workflow. Luckily dispatch deletes it immediately. They must have known that I have an extra 3 feet of floor space in the trailer. I never got a 2nd fuel solution and I wasn't about to go making phone calls. I picked my own fuel stop but it's one that I fuel at every Friday or Saturday on the way home so hopefully Schneider's not too hurt by it. It takes me 10 hours flat of drive time to get from the office to home every weekend. Add 80 miles to my trip to save a few cents off of a fill up? Yea that makes sense. Sorry not happening.

I prefer complaining about dirty drivers. At least a unswept trailer doesn't burn the hairs in my nostrils.

exactly. you can follow their direction in making requests and get dinged for it. its arbitrary and random.

My dispatcher told me that if you have more than one fuel solution on your trip, you only have to do one and you won't get dinged for skipping the other. Then you'll just get a new one when you receive a new preassignment anyway. There's been times that I had 2 fuel stops within 300 miles of eachother. I left this morning before I ever got my assignment so that's why I didn't have a pre-determined fuel stop. The quarter is almost over and I have enough bonus points that it won't effect me.

The program tracking fuel compliance was made by a guy who was fired from the Government Accountability Office for being inaccurate.

I've tracked my compliance and the program does not tracking accurately. DEF is not supposed to count but it does. If told to use an OC it's supposed to count; sometimes does sometimes doesn't.

Overall it's not a significant amount off (ie it isn't impacting my bonus enough to pay for the time it would take to email my dbl) so I don't worry about it too much.

I have filed per assignment, driven the final 7 miles to delivery. Next assignment has me filling at the exact same pilot 7 miles away and tells me I should fill 100+ gallons. It has nothing to do with how much you tell them you have but more how much they hope to purchase in a given state for IFTA pruposes imo.

It also confuses full with mt.

And get obsessed with certain TS.

So when I was in Vegas unpacking my cpap I had a chance to se the 120v power cord. Saw copper in a couple places close to the transformer unit. Taped it up and emailed PPD. Recieved a phone call the following monday and didnt reach them until tuesday last week. Was told , oh we no longer stock that part. What we can do is send you a new machine. I asked about , what if my employment is terminated for whatever reason. Oh you own it. Machine arrived last friday.

State of the art. Auto start. Wifi enabled. Cool app to downlaod that access the dat for you. Not as tall as my old one and operates different. Used it with my older style mask set up. Figured , hell they gave me a new machine zero cost to me and I own it outright, maybe I can swing a new mask style?

Arrivied today. Considered a full face mask as it covers the mouth but it fits up under my nose instead of covering up the bridge.

I swear I am sleeping more soundly than before. Looking forward to using the new mask tonight.

Yeah, hopefully it doesn't count against you. I vaguely remember getting a message months ago about the fuel solutions, and recall two things (1) you can fuel at a certain place for x amount of time after receiving the solution and it counts as compliant, and (2) you can request 3(?) fuel solutions per trip.

Of course, if you asked 5 people within the company to confirm this, you'd get 5 different answers ;)

To our new drivers: if maintenance tells you "that's fine to drive" and you disagree DON'T MOVE THE VEHICLE!

Just had express bay tell me 2.5 of 4 pins sticking thru the frame is legal. It's not. It's quasi legal to move empty to service but not to 'advance the load'. Went over to the service advisor who went and raised heck with express bay.

You're going to be the one responsible. If you don't feel comfortable to pass a DOT inspection don't take the trailer. I don't care if the load is perishable baby hearts, don't move the ####ing truck.
