Real world numbers

Sure thing I know you drive slow but cover the range faster than most folks. And there is no point in working without a profit.

Not to be a parrot here, but fuel is one of the top expenses in trucking and it can really eat you out. I once.. jumped a interchange ramp in Detriot for a reason of time, space and distance that ran out on me. The fuel tanks took the hit before the whole rig caught air. It then became a hazmat problem that week which was eventually fixed. Im just happy I don't have to aim a big truck at the best and softest path on concrete everywhere again not knowing the outcome should i survive it.

 

In 06 I had an 05 w9 company truck ...isx 475 , 13 Spd , tk apu and governed at 68.
Omaha to NYC and back every week with a reefer .
Fuel mileage never got out of the high 5s.

 

While back i was driving cascadia evolution and i was always at gross, running at speed limit in west and south states and truck was getting 5.6 mpg, so speed will kill your fuel mileage, no matter what truck you driving.
