So I've joined the Schiender National Bulk Divison! Looking forward to gaining my experience & make more money in the near future. Any current Bulk Drivers here anymore? How do you like it? I start Monday for my first official day as a Solo Driver. I was issued a 2015 automatic.

So today went as follows. I woke this morning around 5am got dressed & headed out to Reserve, La where I would meet with my DBL & move into my Truck. I arrived in Reserve about 6:30am. My DM said to be there for 6:45am. Funny because she didn't arrive until about 8 lol. But anyway, after I arrived at 6:30 I ate breakfast (McDonalds) then I started moving my things from my car to my truck & getting situated. Ok fast forward to 8am my DBL comes in & has to chew out another driver that she cause "flying" down the road which I thought was weird when Schneider trucks only do 60 LOL! But anyway the driver was also on the phone which is against Schneider policy & also blew through a traffic light on his way to the OC (Terminal). So after about an hour of her chewing his butt out she come & says she has to start up her computer & she can get us (me & one other new guy) active in the system so we could get our first loads. After about an hour or so I believe it was about 10:30 or 11am, we were made active & got our loads! I had to take an empty from the OC to drop & hook up to a loaded trailer at Polychemie in Pearlington, MS. Then I had to deliver (drop) this trailer in Freeport, Tx. So woohoo! I finally got a load & am excited to head out. Just my luck the trailer I'm looking for just so happens to be in the tank wash being cleaned. Didn't take much longer but still about a 45 minute wait. Ok get to the trailer & get hooked up to it, pre trip, etc then get on the Qualcomm & notice my load info is not there. For those of you who don't know Schneider uses some system called "WorkFlow". But anyway it wasn't there. 2 phone calls & 20 minutes later I'm told the system is currently down & we would have to wait about 35 minutes to an hour & "hopefully" it would be back up. Sooo about an hour later yes it's up & my Load is now there. I head out immediately before anything else could hold me up. Lucky me neither of these appointment had a set time it was a window, since it's just drop & hook. Made it to Pearlington, MS no problems. Dropped & hooked. Fought some traffic, dealt with some rain & now here I am shut down for the night in Houston, Tx about an hour & a half away from FreePort, Tx to make my drop. I should be there about 9:30am or so, or at least that's my plan lol & hopefully I'll have a pre assignment waiting on me. So there's my first day as a Tanker Yanker & I must say I'm enjoying it! I'll keep you guys updated if your interested. Thank the post so I have an idea if anyone even reads this stuff! Lol but thanks for following!:D

:hello2:hello I'm Mike I'm a food hauler from way up north NBA Championship City USA some people call us. (I personally think that's a stretch first championship in 52 years and now were the city of champions we need a couple more to get there.)

Anyhow I have like no patience for computer systems and things like that malfunctioning. I know when my hand held at work is malfunction it really grinds my gears. Anyhow you sound like you had a fun and productive day hauling chemicals around good for you.

Sooo today we as follows... I made it to the Nalco plant in Freeport, Tx. I drop the load, everything goes good. I decided to make an executive decision & not leave the plant until I heard from my DBL about a new preassignment & I'm glad I did because I had to pick up a loaded trailer from there as well to drop at our OC in Houston. So I get to Houston to drop it then after I drop it I get an update on my load saying I'm delivering it to Colorado (forgot city) ummmm I'm regional so that's outta my jurisdiction ! But when I saw 1000 miles to deliver then 1000 miles back to the OC I'm like uhhh I'll take it! Lol. Well I guess I got excited too quickly. After I trip plan my load I look at the Qualcomm for extra last minute details & I see it's a Nalco load. (DUHH I am the one who picked it up from the Nalco plant) how silly of me to forget just that easily. Well any way I'm not Nalco certified as of yet. They bring you back to the OC between 30-45 days for a refresher training as well as certify you for Nalco. Which I think is retarded as hell when they could have just certified us before we even got our trucks...but oh well. They bring you back in to give you a "Refresher" to make sure you are doing things the "Schneider Way" & haven't picked up any "Bad" habits. But anyways I call my DBL & I get no answer, I waited, & waited & waited. I finally decide to call another dbl or whoever it was & explained to them the situation at hand & they took the load off of me. My DBL finally gets in touch with me & says she was in a meeting & she's sorry for giving me that load she had forgot. I'm like its cool, no problem. She ends up getting me another load going to St. Louis, Missouri. Again this is out of my region but hey I'll take anything for some miles! After all I'm BROKE! So the trailer I'm picking up is at the Houston OC which I was already there anyway, glad I hadn't left with that load! I hook to the trailer, pre trip it, get the paper work & realize well #### the plants nor address match up. So I call my DBL & explain to her that this paper work was not for this load. She calls whatever department that is & come to find out it's a "Blind" shipment. Wtf is a blind shipment??? Apparently I guess the shipper does not want the receiver to have info on them or want them to know anything about them? I'm not sure but if you all know then you can explain it better. But she says she did have a piece of paperwork that I do need. So I go to the fax machine & one phone call/fax & an hour of time wasted later I'm finally ready to head out. With 5 hours left on my clock I drove to some part of Texas (Shame I know) I gotta get use to learning where the hell in at! Lol. But here I am now shut down for the night & I have 600 or so miles to go! So tomorrow will be an all day drive so I can get some miles in! I wasted about 3-4 hours of my clock today waiting for paperwork/explaining about that other load & waiting for people to call me back. But today was a good day I CANT Complain! Can't wait to get home Sunday evening & be home for the 4th of July! Anyways I'll keep you guys updated!
