Well I just spoke with Roxi at WS and they have penciled me in for Sept 22nd orientation for the 10 day program. I just have to pass the training from Roadmasters and get my CDL. I am sure everything else will be fine as far as the DOT health testing. I must say they are very thorough about the application.

Right on harley4life! I have a prior commitment that kept me from making the Sept 22nd orientation or we might have been in class together! I am hoping for a slot in the OCT 1st 10-day orientation, I'm in the same boat just need to get through CDL school here myself. What model do you ride? I have a Heritage Classic and love it!

I have a Sportster 883, it was given to my by my father a few years ago. He went out an got himself a road king 1225. Spoiled.. I am wanting to get the Softtail Delux, but its a pricey piece of equipement. That's too bad you mised the 22nd orientation, but at least you will get there after that. I can't wait to get started on my training and got to WS. I am looking forward too it. Good luck.

Hi all. I'm looking to get into trucking and W/S sounds like a great company to start with. I live in georgia so how does the mile look for my part of the country? and can anyone give me an honest opinion of W/S so I can make a desision. The other company I'm looking at is P.A.M.

They have a terminal in Dalton. As long as the country keeps on buying carpet W/S will have business there. I had a wonderful experience working out of that terminal and they ran the dog snot out of me between there and and NJ with drop load at Sayreville (nice and very helpful folks!) and hook loads out of Church and Dwight. If you don't mind the I-81 corridor, it was sweet and 3500 miles a week.

Eventhough I had my CDL through a driving mill I went to the 30 day school and it was good. Drove for almost a month and was getting many miles and experience and then poof. Blew it on a bad turn that was poorly marked and now I am looking for another job. WS is a great place to start and I wish I was still with them. I just hope one bad mistake didn't end my trucking career. Remember one strike and you are out.
