Small fleet so I figured they would be decent. Orientation was one day on Wednesday. Got truck on Thursday. People net wasnt running yet so was told to use paper. The next day they got it running and i was sent to Wilmington Nc to sit for the weekend after being told i would be home that Saturday. On the way ac stopped working and they were sending out a mechanic 10 hours later never showed. Remained sitting until monday when finally got unloaded. I was given loads after about an hour but they constantly removed them and added more only to remove them again. Finally got a load to stick going to Florida. Deliever and sat some more. After continuing to give and remove loads i kept getting 200 mile short runs. I finally got my load home that weekend. As i got home they called and asked why i was at the greeneville terminal instead of the smyrna terminal. Come to find out they forgot to send me a message telling me to drop that trailer at the smyrna trailer and told me it was my fault and to calculate those extra miles from as driving my own car. At this point id already given my two week notice. Went back out yesterday to Columbus oh to deliver at 7 am. Still sitting as we we speak. I just recieved a 200 mile load again. Dont believe their lies. They refuse to get ez pass and prepass because their to cheap. Trucks are small.

If you live in Nashville area go to Goodlettsville to Associated Grocers Warehouse and drive for them. I think Cardinal/Greatwide has their transportation account. Good money and great hometime. Driver no-touch freight.
    Weekends home with:
    Big-G Express
    A&R Logistics
Estes and Southeastern both in Smyrna if you want linehaul. Saia is linehaul and somewhere around Nashville.

Tidewater Transit does lots of loads to Kingsport at Kodak plant.
Your area is good for Big-G Express and A&R Logistics.
Tankstar may have a small yard in Kingsport; might be listed as Schwerman or Rodgers Cartage.

Im not into doing tanker. I have the endorsement but not the experience and would rather stay away. Big G is going all manual so id rather find something else ik ive looked at them in the past.

Check with South-East Carriers in Lawrenceburg,TN, maybe they have automatics.
    Tyson Foods has automatics.
Abilene Motor Express has automatics & refrigerators & 68 mph trucks.
Milan Express has automatics; they're in Milan,TN.

I don't think you need tanker endorsement for A&R Logistics because they haul plastic pellets. At one time there was no endorsement required; maybe that's changed. Call and ask. Easy money there. I know a guy near Nashville that makes $72K there.

What about Averitt Express? Have you tried them? Cookeville is only about 3 hours from where you're located.
