Too many parts of it were shipped by UPS.

I've pulled pikes in Canada a few years back. We lost a few trailers every year to fire.
Most of the fires started on the outside and not within the load. There are many reasons for it. Like mentioned before, dragging brakes, hot running hubs are the most common reasons.
If a driver builds a set in 20 minutes, the chances are he didn't do his job properly. Inspecting 4 pieces of equipment (truck, 2 trailers and a converter) takes more than 20 minutes and that are still not hooked up.

I'm not saying that the driver in this case didn't do his job. But who ever pulled a load out of a LTL carrier, knows, how much rush drivers have, to hit the road.

Yeah I carry axle or gear lube with me (85w/140), used it once so far on a pre trip (otherwise use it to lube squeaky ratchets and vises). I don't get why they make some hub caps that can't be removed to add it though, there's still a sight glass on those, except you can't always tell by looking at it (unless you can remove the cap).

What else they said is that wheel end fires are too hot to be extinguished without a fire truck, and you should disconnect from the trailer if one lights up.

I dunno. What is DISGUSTING, I believe is a matter of one's state of mind.
We had liberty call in Sasabo, Japan once. And what I learned is that the Japanese really do not like Americans, and pretty much despise people in the US armed forces, but they will quietly take your money, and it is very expensive. Well went to Hiroshima, And throughout the day and into the evening we got fairly drunk.
When we got back to the boat, the OOD says " You four look like you had a quite a liberty."
My friend TD says " We went to Hiroshima and got bombed."
    Even the OOD laughed hysterically.

When you've got a hot load sitting at a Pilot or Flying J you're asking for trouble.

@spyder7723 here man, I'm trying not to think about all the people that are starving to death while I buy a bag of potatoes for $1, and a watermelon for $1.80., in 2016, and I don't think about the poor caged pig while i'm about to make us some BLT's. So I'm posting these photos so we can all feel good, and not be offended by my DISTGUSTING posts.
I've used only free range honey bees to pollinate these sun flowers, and free range praying mantis's to ward off insects. Although, that cats discovered there are mantis's amongst the sunflower's, and, well, it has turned out unfavorably for some of the mantis.
