Your typically required to have the truck back in by 2200 the last day your assigned to it. Or earlier if more convenient to swap into another truck. The next guy won't be using it until the following day.

    Vtwinhouse Thanks this.

I drive out of the Seymour indiana DC,I usually have to switch trucks once in five days, sometimes i have the truck all five days.our gm said they are making a concerted effort to bring in more trucks to alleviate the slipseating.were supposed to get 40 new trucks this year.I normally bring a sleeping bag, snacks, water just remember you will probably be in a Walmart store a couple of times a day,if you need to buy anything youll have plenty of opportunities.ive never had a guy waiting on me to get back with his truck.as far as packing clothes, your uniforms will be at your dc, just take the number youll need for the week,so you dont have to worry about those,

    slim6596 and Vtwinhouse Thank this.

Do you have to remember stuff like how much air pressure is lost when doing brake test or which tires are 2/32 and 4/32 tread wear? Or actually naming parts in the engine compartment

I applied on May 21 for a position at the Shelby NC DC. My application status still says under consideration. I know it takes a while but I'm wondering if I should be hearing anything soon or if I have been declined. I called 1-800-WALMART but there wasn't a prompt to speak with anyone in HR, just one for current or past associates. Is there a different number I should call? Just starting to get a little antsy if they're going to interview me or not.

Yes I've been reading through them.... Unfortunately there are like 5000 messages in the one that probably has the information I need and I don't have that kind of time to go digging.

It is astonishing on how cry babies want to make the big money but don't want to earn it.
At UPS we have a few of them. They tear their hair out about ANYTHING that is asked of them.
The rules are so easy to follow......unless you are extremely lazy with the IQ of a rock.
People cry about how UPS has all these stupid rules and the money is not worth your sanity. As stated by someone else, this people need to step aside so the ones that don't have a problem doing their job right can move in and make great money to provide for their families.

Don't let the crybabies discourage you. If you aren't a COMPLETE baby and wuss, you'll be happy with your job.
I'm sure just as UPS, to non wusses, Walmart is an easy job.

Reading some of the commens of the rules and how the company sucks just reminded me of some people at UPS.
The only thing that tests my sanity is listening to those people cry.

    Sorry to hijack, carry on.

That is why you avoid the chronic complainers. You learn really fast, who they are. After all, the surefire way to ruin your day is to spend way too much time listening to someone who pretty much just hates life. Choose to be happy. :D
