Payroll ends on the 22nd. Paid on the 28th.

Yep, Thursdays. For us, cut-off on the Friday is at 10:00pm. A load has to end at a DC before 10:00pm (or whatever your cut-off is) for it to go on that check. Orientation pay is $700, unless anything has changed. So, there will be that for the 1 week, then his regular drivers pay for the week with the Mentor, on that check on the 22nd.

We have heard different things about insurance. I'm curious to see what it is at this DC.

 

The insurance is not that great. I turned down the job out of woodland because of it. I drive for abf now which is teamsters insurance. We have guys at our terminal that drove for walmart and got stuck with huge medical bills. If you and your family are healthy then walmart is ok.

I do believe walmart is a good job though. I enjoy ready about guys driving at walmart on truckingboards. Everyone be safe out there
