I can see how they were trying with the new weigh station alert on the QC but it gets annoying real quick.
Also I use RM most of the time, but i tend to have both running just in case one decides to die.
I will admit the one place the QC GPS is useful, oddly is NYC. I checked every turn against it the NYCDOT map and a satellite image, bloody thing actually works good there. In the Brooklyn Queens area anyway.
Looks like i might be shutting down in Hermiston pilot.

Much as I dislike the QC GPS it does come in handy sometimes, like when the RM doesn't recognize the address of a shipper/receiver.
It does not happen very often, but it does happen.
I'm in Fargo, ND at the Petro.
It was a short day today, only 350 miles. I have another 680 miles to go for my delivery on the 5th at 1900.
2 days to go another 680. I hope I can make it in time. -
Here in Plainview, TX, waiting on my trailer to be ready to head for El Paso. Glad that this load has a large window for the 1st stop. 1300 to 1800. I figure that if I get out of here by 1900, the scheduled time, and with a 10 hour break, the best that I can do, 1400-1500 tomorrow, and this is really going to screw up my next pplan. Was talking to DM this morning, and he was telling me that as far as he can tell the next load has not even come across the border, but then again also the possibility that it is and they have not bothered to even update in the system . It is showing a pick up date of 07/04 @ 0700 to 07/07. Gotta love those. As far as I can remember, the border is open on the 4th since it is not a Mexican holiday, just ours.

I know.
This load is so tight on time that I probably won't even have time to catch a couple movies at the cinema.
Though I'm wondering how many drivers are sitting for the weekend. At least I'm running some miles. -
When i was training otr i did 600 miles daily tho. Im sure if you do 600 tom 80 tues u good. Easy for you with your exp

You can pick it up if the pierpass is paid just can't out gate til 6 on the dot. So you can get a chassis flip it etc. Trust me i know
-
It will be less tomorrow and more Tuesday.
With a 1900 drop time I won't be planning on anything else for the day, except to find parking. -
Duncan rarely does pierpass so unless it's Saturday I'm rarely in the ports before 6:00 pm.
Also, Duncan owns their own chassis so that changes the dynamics (for the good) of how we deal with the ports.
FWIW, I've NEVER hauled an MT from Phoenix to the port, always loaded. It's difficult to do a live load in Phoenix then get it to the ports before night gate. -
I always dumcans at every port i go day and night. Most guys i see are on the road by 6 or 7. And having your own chassis going in loaded sucks. Instead of dropping the load you gotta flip and that can take hrs at evg or hanjin. I sometimes use own chassis from my company and i usually avoid them its a drag to me
