    Well met, everyone!

In this thread, we'll be covering which dash cameras on the markets are good investments to purchase and why you recommend them.

Please put a link to a store page for the dash cam you're recommending.

This thread is response to reading about a recent trucker/car accident where a dash cam would have quickly solved a problem of guilt.

Thanks to all contributors and safe travels!

I'm upgrading to the iphone 6, and I'm wondering, with the right app why couldn't I use my old 4s as a dashcam.
Thoughts and/or experience with a smart phone as a dash cam.

Just get a Garmin 10, stick it up there and just plug it in and aim it when you leave.
    Good quality and cheap

Falconeye makes a great setup. I run a 4 cam system and it's levels better then the Garmin I used to use. I've tried 3 or so different cam systems and this is the best so far. www.dashcam.co is the website

I also have the Garmin 10. It has a G sensor and also a lane detector I believe. I know if I get too close to the white line or cross it the cam starts alerting that it saved that segment of video. The range of view isn't the greatest but it will cover my %&$ in most situations.

Here's my Garmin 10, sure the windshield is dirty, but on a laptop with high resolution it looks great.

I have an old coworker who uses his current phone as his dashcam. Apparently there's an app for that. Go figure.
