Thank you 4mer trucker! Yea, you could say that. A real Scream Machine! LOL

I got good vibes when I stumbled across this thread. What's interesting is it took so long to find it. I'd been on here for months scoping out about every truck company out there. What's funny is it was only after I found it, I started seeing @Chinatown 's short lists posts all over. Think the big guy was keeping it from me until the time was right. Now, I think I know why. Ain't that always the way? :)

Well, got it done. Wish I had thought to put it in the dock in the daylight yesterday and disconnect so the guy could shut the gate. Blonde moment (and I'm not blonde!). In the first picture, I'm backed up to the dock and the street curb is right there. Ugh! Uphill back as well. Fun. Felt like I had a stick trying to back up that thing. Second picture is sitting on the street waiting for dispatch. And their restroom is NASTY. Really makes you think twice about things and how you really need to wash everything.

Knew you'd get it done. Good job!

A stick would have been easier. Just throw it in low Rev and let the clutch out. The no stall idle would do the rest. Yea, I don't go in any restroom without the old Clorox wipes handy. Not nice to make fun of us blonds. Even after we go gray. LOL :p

Well i was a little concerned because we got empty sunday 7/3 morning. Wasnt sure what was in store since holidays. Took dispatch awhile but got a bh load in groveport going to oakland for 7/7. To much time but happy trainer happy trainee. And a nonmoving nap helps to!

    Sounds like just missed rc!

This load has allowed us to do rolling resets. Now just to get routed to terminal to test out of this teaming stage.

Yes. I tried the route i did on the planner and it worked, but it wasn't easy following it as it would only give distance and time to each waypoint, not to final destination. No good at all for keeping track of eta.

Also at each waypoint you had to press "skip to next stop" so it would route you to the next waypoint.

The trip planner works but isn't something I would want to use on a regular basis. I will use it if I ever go back to bh brooklyn or any destination that has potential to be tricky.

I would have never thought overnighting on the yard was possible with how strict security is. Will remember that next time as I had more than enough time to get in yesterday.

Why do I think the test can be done over the phone?.

If you are testing out of phase 3 to get your own truck it won't make a difference of course.

Hmmm ... that's interesting. I thought about going to the newer one but maybe not. The 710 will let you see both the time and distance to either each stop or the whole trip. You can switch back and forth with one tap. Still have to hit "next" when each stop is reached but still, just one tap so no big deal. Maybe I'll just stick with the ole 710 now.

This may be the same but I didn't explore if it had that option. I don't forsee using the trip planner too often though.

What I sometimes do is check with Google maps routing to see if the gps is generally taking me the right way.

If there is a massive difference in route or mileage (I know better than to follow Google's routing) then I will make sure the gps isn't getting too creative.
