I have a flatbed business. I see what freight is paying though shippers websites. The emails that I get every morning and then I look on the loadboards and see what the brokers are paying. Some only make $50 a shipment, others are trying to make over $300+

What some Brokers are making really is no secrect, I get emails from a couple of shippers, shortly after I get those emails those loads are posted on the load board from all kinds of brokers. It really isn't hard to see the rates posted, or make a few phone calls and find out what they want to pay.

Also have a direct customer that uses one of the large brokerages on occasion to cover loads that none of his regular guys can/will cover. Again, it's not hard to see those loads posted on a load board and out of curiosity call just to see what the broker is keeping. I know what those loads pay.
