Or in other places not the toilet. Like on the grab bar or stuffed around the door hinges.

I still enjoy bumping thru the gears. It's still part of the draw. I can feel a good day coming when I nail 3rd to 10th at an 0200 start - no grinds; no straight shifts.
AND it's handy! Today for instance, in Laredo at a con, didn't have enough room to squeak my trailer past one that was parked so as to ruin my angle. There was a beater of a box truck also providing an obstruction (so that I couldn't hook my trailer past the one parked). I asked the warehouse supervisor if he could get it out of the way so I could set up (evidently another company is allowed to park there as 'a favor').
He hops in, fiddles around a bit, then flags me over: 'You know how to drive this thing?'. #### straight I do. Got the set up I wanted too.

And God help you, if you got in trouble at school, not to mention with the PO-lice!

Never heard that. My mom was quite capable of handling things herself, no matter how drunk she was...
Actually I doubt they ever give it a thought at all.

I will always think that a whole lot of so called "mental problems" could have been prevented by a parent who was caring and intelligent enough to use a bit of good old fashioned discipline!

Hey don years ago when I went to court for my dui in Washington county Nebraska there was a kid in the court room who had his cap on backwards , the bailiff yanked his cap off and shoved it in his chest .
You would have loved it ! As did I .

Just talking about this yesterday, especially the bathrooms. Stopped at a TA yesterday, the bathroom was shiny and clean (even had fake flowers are n the counter tops. I go into 1 stall (BM still in toilet), 2nd stall (not flushed and toilet paper hanging off toilet). 3rd one was a charm. It was amazing (the toilet flushed and everything).

The thread title is Show Some Respect. I believe that the biggest problem is that it's hard to respect anyone, or anything, when you've no respect for yourself. People who realize they are losers have no impetus to show respect. It's something they were never taught, nor shown to them.
That being said though, they certainly should be held accountable for their actions. No excuses about "mommy didn't love me."

This is my half acre parking area, the litter so pisses me off, even though I say I don't care and will not pick it up. That car was there at least 5 days, it needed a tire, and there were sheets of cardboard everywhere.
    Arrggh!!!
And it's mostly 4 wheelers. I could easily block it off and let no one park there at all.
    But...

One of my peeves is littering. I carry a bubble gum wrapper with me, until I can put it in a trash can. The truck stops in Texas are the gold medal winners for trash. Ohio gets the silver. Illinois the bronze.
Like my friend Cousin It taking a sink bath at the J the other morning at 115 in the morning, but at least he was cleaning the sink area, albeit in his underwear.
Slobs are slobs. I have my own daycab now, but after my days off there is always a half bag or bag of garbage in it, it's in the bag, not all around the cab. And the handful of drivers in our little circle, aren't really slobs, they just don't give a F, about anything, except themselves, or their trucks.
Mega doctrine 101 = I got mine, sucks to be you.
Hoping that companies are going to house break so many of these street urchins or foreigners is like hoping public school will raise your children, ain't gonna happen, and the ones that are on the edge of the abyss actually find the banana peel they needed to fall in.
Tolerance creates a lot of these problems.
To this day, the most horrific thing, garbage wise ever seen by any trucker, was unfortunately viewed by me, and that was the home made maxi pads littering the ground at this tiny, maybe the only, truck stop in Rhode Island.
I remember thinking, man at least there's a place, it was $10 to park there over night, and there's crap laying around everywhere. Dunno maybe just a lot of really un happy people, dopers, who knows.
