That tire was originally on the passenger's side, I noticed it started pulling to the right. So I rotated the steers and it stopped pulling to the right but soon after I noticed that the left steer felt like it would start bouncing from time to time. So I figure some band are broken in the tire, after this last 600 Mi stretch I did a post trip and caught those dimples on it. I didn't have time to deal with it this morning but right after I get unloaded I'm headed to the house and that tire has got to go. I guess I might as well get a matching set.

I would keep that one and use it on a trailer. No such thing as having steer tires that are "too nice" though.G13Tomcat Thanks this.

Wouldnt say I panicked I rolled with it for 600+ miles, delivered, and Ryder shop was next door so just got it replaced fast. The chunk was about half inch deep, sorry the photo is crap just wanted opinions and that's what I got! Be safe!

I'm getting General RA's apparently... Soon as these girls get their old stock out of the yard in their jalopy

Heres a better photo of the damage steer. I circled in red where it is.

That's a better photo of the damage? I don't see it. But honestly, it's your life on the line (and those around you)- if you feel it needed to be replaced at that time (even if only because that was the most convenient time for you to do it) then you were 100% correct in your decision.
Good looking out, driver. We need more guys out there that look out for their equipment like you doG13Tomcat and Mullet_Head87 Thank this. -
