Got the work done on the truck by early afternoon today. That was cool, but I had planned on a 34 here anyway. Never really had a problem getting planned out of here like some of you seem to. Maybe lucky I guess. Hope that luck doesn't run out. Made a call to the planner and I'm stacked thru Friday. Hit a wall with a load going home. Like blsqueak was saying, for some reason it's nearly impossible to get a load going to the Columbus, OH area on the weekends.

I had to call Edwardsville to get a short load over to St Peters, MO for tomorrow. Best I could do without an empty.
-
I was back from home time today but, no loads.
I guess that is what happens in a slow area when I come back on a Sunday.
So, another day at home. Oh, how will I cope? -
Enjoy the time at home and wait til they plan you. That's what text notifications and the phone app are for.

I know, and I got one an hour ago.
I called to get more info and was told I don't have a pplan on me.
Probably sent to multiple trucks and I didn't snag it in time.
No matter. It was a local load picking up in Eagan, MN and delivering 2 hours later somewhere else in MN.
Not many miles and I would have had to find an mt very early in the morning.
The daughter that is getting on the truck with me just got a new hamster. My nephew's girlfriend got it for her.
Cute little thing.
So I'll have a pet on the truck as well for the next 5-6 weeks. -
Just north of Jeffersonville, OH. Get this unloaded in the morning and head home and clean out the truck to turn in on Wednesday. New company called me today, and all is set up for next Monday. Fly in on Saturday. Already told my truck number. Going company to start since I am not going to deal with Quality Leasing. Even my recruiter, both of them says good deal. I will just be a company driver until a newer one that they have in house opens up and get that one if I like it. The pay rate is a little lower than I like, but the miles are there. Running produce from the SW to the MW and back to the SW again. No East Coast, no NE and no SE. That I can deal with

4 PM live load in upstate New York didn't finish until 10 PM. Fortunately, the next run is a repositioning load, picking up from the Columbus terminal, delivering near Jonestown delivering "by Friday".
Then back on my dedicated account.
It helps to have a "friend" in the Jonestown planning department... -
The planners did the same thing to me Sunday, but managed to be quick on the Ingauge.

Right now, I'm currently juggling the customer, customer service and my DM trying to get them to unload both PO#s. Both were scheduled to come off at 9am, but the customer only wants to take one off now, and the rest off later.
Typical reefer madness. I'll either end up in Roseville CA or Dixon CA. Depending on what happens here.
