I'm just wondering how someone leaves a parking spot, goes and delivers then returns, without breaking their dot mandated 10 hr break. And here i thought the whole point of elogs for companies was to stop their drivers from running illegal.

You have the spot for 24 hours, you could park, breaking the 10 hours isn't the issue . but if ya got their soon enough take 10, deliver and come back for another ten. But I think Texan meant leaving if you didn't violate the 10 hour or the 14 hour rule, sort of confusing no doubt

Yep that's simple, but if you read the posts your see talk of parking a few hours go deliver and come back without interrupting the break.

While I'm not a reefer driver I do understand some of the issue. Every now and then they'll give me curb side delivery in major cities and I have to try and find parking at stupid late o-clock. Those times I'm glad I can book a parking spot to come back to and sleep late at night. My company also reimburses for this which is nice. Same if I have to park in a lot thats 100% paid parking.

I was gonna say easy. But I have never seen how the elogs work so I can't say. But paper logging you can drive around for 30 hours and still show sleeper at that spot at the end of the day. Hahahha

Buncha super truckers.... I swear. Attempt to make me move out of any spot and you”ll be met at my window with an object you will not like.

Most definitely. If anyone saw your fat hairy ### hanging out the window, it'd probably blind them.

I agree wholeheartedly. Drivers complain about the independent truck stops like JJ's in Malvern, Arkansas having a huge lot that isn't even fully paved and then having to pay for parking. But what they don't understand is that JJ's and other places have to cater to the eLog and fleet driver too. There's no ideal way to make everyone happy.

For all your drivers out there who aren't familiar, JJ's can hold about 300 or 350 in their large lot, but they still are the only truck stop in the immediate area. Then you have the drivers that just want to park and not fuel up or eat in the diner. So it's only fair to have paid parking.
