Hello. Have a 93 fold 120, 12.7 detroit that falls flat on its face uphill under load, surges and blows white smoke. Mildly leaking air charge cooler, but I don't think enough to cause this big an issue? Also only have 1/4 fuel pedal up to 1500 rooms, after 1/4 of the pedal it wants to die and absolutely no power. Runs awesome on flat unloaded. I'm tired of all the "maybe this, maybe" ####. Any help would be overwhelmingly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Also, truck was plugged in and it said throttle position sensor was fine. I'm still skeptical.

White smoke usually indicates water getting into the combustion chamber, check head gaskets maybe?

First off I'd check fuel pressure under load.
If that checks out put a sight glass in the return line and check for air.

Could be compression getting into the fuel rail.

White smoke doesn't always mean a head gasket or water issue. Fuel injected at the wrong time will cause white smoke also.

    AModelCat Thanks this.

I would not discount that air cooler leak causing the problem. One time my hose was loose on the air cooler & that was the problem when climbing hills.
