Can anyone tell me how long the hose is to fill a def tank at the pilots? Have a fire truck with the def tank on passenger side and would rather not deal with 2.5 gallon jugs, it does have a walkway right behind cab that could stretch it across if long enough and tank is right at edge of walkway.

Some of them are 8 to 10 foot long.

They won't generally reach across and back to the filler. Even if they were long enough, you'd need 2 people to manage the hose extension process that wants to retract at all times. Many will buy at the adjacent pump to the right, then pump, as opposed to coming in "backwards"

    Friday and tucker Thank this.

Do that one. It's next to impossible to get that hose to want to stay a couple feet out most times.

Its not common but I have seen some places that have def on both sides. Check to see if there one in the area? (Not luckily but always can hope.)

that is the biggest pain. I drove a 2015 t680 with the def tank on the wrong side. Why in the hell would you do that

Kinda surprised at least some truck stops didn't put 1 pump with the def on the right side

Because who ever ordered the truck didn't know enough to make sure to order "DEF tank on the left side".
