If you have any doubt they will give you a hard time do not give them your cell number. Make them say everything on the Qcom and on the record. Its funny how they change what they say when they KNOW they can get busted.

I had an idiot dispatcher try that with me one time. I parked the truck anyway. He eventually backed down when I got the saftey dept involved. -
being a newbie, I've not had the opportunity to have that discussion. I do have 6 sets of chains, but if I ain't happy going on, I am the only one who controls the brake and accelerator pedals
Working Class Patriot Thanks this. -
Most people from Arkansas don't know how to drive on snow and ice. So, when I became an otr driver and ended up in Pennsylvania driving on snow, I was poking along.
All the other drivers just flew past me. It didn't take me long to learn the art of driving on snow. Ice is a different story. Being a local driver now, the company I drive for doesn't take "I'm snowed in, I can't get to work" excuses, so we are always out there. They do run up a few tow truck bills, pulling a truck out of a ditch.
But, I'm still using the same lessons I learned from driving in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Canada. -
Driving on snow is tricky,Nobody can drive on ice-you are just lucky sometimes.I have always been the captain of my ship.I decide when i stop and where or I dont work.I am also thankful that there are still mom and pop companies around that leave decisions like that to the drivers. Also thankful GOD gave me enough sense to make those decisions.

If they're screaming at you it's really your own fault,QC is in the truck for communication not your personal cellphone that comes out of your own pocket.
