STARTING PROBLEM, NEED HELP

    Hi everyone, thank you in advance for any help. I have a 2010 Freightliner Cascadia with a Cummins ISX. I am having issues starting it. the problem will happen when temp is above 200. When I shut off the truck and try to start it, it cranks very slow like the batteries are dead. I let it sit for about 20-30 min and it starts right up. I have replaced the starter, the ground wires, all battery cables. After replacing a starter the problem goes away for a couple of weeks and then comes back. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    My first guess was the starter. Could be your batteries are getting to hot. Just guesses. Good luck

    Starter solenoid overheating? Can get an insulated shield that protects it from manifold heat.

    Usually temp related starter issues is the starter itself being heat soaked and the motor windings are starting to go.

    another thing to check is ground to frame at batts and ground strap at starter make sure not to corroded and not loose

    have you done a voltage drop test from batts to starter i know all that is new but could have a bad connection in there also what starter did you buy a remain or new and is it a gear reduction one or old style
