That mount looks somewhere in the spectrum of bad arse, and ugly as sin! (Don't take that personally, what I'm about to try could out ugly everyone).

But first, I'm curios how a 102" rides and performs at the 30deg angle required to stay under 13'6"? @volvo244t or anyone else that has tried.

doesn't matter to me how ugly it is it works. it looks a lot better than a mirror mount Wilson with a 27" predator. but I use a key down antenna that is totally bad ###.

Have you had a chance to try the 27" shaft and will that keep you under 13' 6"? Thanks

yes it will keep you under 13'6" i would use the stainless steel mirror mount not the wilson aluminum one. and a stainless steel antenna bracket mount. i snapped a aluminum one with a predator 30k one time...

Are you saying the 40 inch mount (as pictured on Craig's truck) with a Predator K-1-10 on a 27 inch shaft will be under 13'6"? Thanks

You will have to set it on an angle and that whip will be short...
Dont know how it will work but you might have to drill a cpl more holes in mount shaft to lower the entire ant/shaft..Again i dont know how it will work but a top mast half of what it is now to help make the 10k more of a top load(top mast will have to be custom made).
I duggest you have the bottom shaft and a shortened top mast all done before you start tuning..Or have another whip just incase..

it is huge but it's a predator it's really light. it snapped the front plate in front of the antenna stud.which was a aluminum antenna bracket-mount.it would have not snapped it if it was stainless steel. you live and you learn.the coax was still hooked up and flipped the antenna backwards.I thought I lost the antenna at first or ran it over. I lucked out. $130 to $150 antenna

no I'm talking about I used one on a mirror mount. on a 40" mount which I use now. you would have to lean that sucker down quite a bit.I would think. or get a normal mount on the 40" pole and slide it down the pole. but I can't see doing that. I'd keep up with what Craig does on that situation. ..
